A Romanesque inspired bowl with an encrusted surface deftly embellished and glazed to give the impression of a treasure brought up from the ocean's depths. This work is part of ceramicist John O'Loughlins Sunken Galley Series inspired by relics raised from Roman shipwrecks in the Dalmatian Straits and expresses key aspects of John O’Loughlin’s ceramic practice. This is both a functional vase and a poetic object for aesthetic enjoyment.
