The Crackle Glaze Pair is a still life in three-dimensions reminiscent of Morandi made by Ballarat-based ceramicist John O'Loughlin. The wheel-thrown bottle vase and bowl pairing are glazed in a soft cloud grey with satin finish. The surface is finely crazed with a detailed crackle pattern making the pieces appear aged and full of character.

This work expresses aspects of John O’Loughlin’s practice including traditional wheel-throwing with surfaces that evoke an historic narrative.
