Alexandra Howie's work is inspired by the carved and sculpted marble drapery of the Classical and Hellenistic periods. In this work drapery loosely wraps around this elegantly simple vase form. The cream coloured glaze is subtly accentuated with notes of blue which highlight the drape and fall of the sculpted fabric. A one-off work from Surfacing, Alexandra Howie's 2025 exhibition for Melbourne Design Week.
